Sharp 3D Cellphone to be launched in October

Sharp have revealed plans to launch a 3D cellphone later this year.

The Sharp 3D phone is set to be released in October, just in time for the holiday season. It will be capable of displaying 3D images without the need of 3D glasses, just as the Nintendo 3DS is set to. However, the Sharp 3D phone will be released before the Nintendo 3DS to reveal the handheld 3D format first.

The Nintendo 3DS has been confirmed to be launched before March 2011, but is rumoured to surface in November.

Further details of the Sharp 3D cellphone are thin on the ground at present, but we can expect it to be a popular invention due to the increasing popularity of the 3D format and to be able to have it in your hand adds a new spectrum of wonder.
