StarCraft 2 Multiplayer with No LAN

Pros for StarCraft 2, Wings of Liberty, include stunning graphics, voice acting, and limitless replay value. Cons are that there is no LAN.

Games generally either have a killer single player campaign worth all your attention or a multiplayer component that will keep you hard at it for hours on end. It's rare that one game encompasses both, and yet StarCraft II, Wings of Liberty, has managed to do just that.

Blizzard made the decision early on to persuade gamers back into the realm of the multiplayer and separating the campaign and the multiplayer games created two games in one. Each mission you'll face is unique and challenging with a new mini-game. Blizzard has included many plot twists this time around and has managed to stay very present day with the singleplayer campaign's presentation and non-linear design.

Wings of Liberty is amazing on an audio level, as the soundtrack fits perfectly within the StarCraft universe. You'll hear some familiar voice actors from the original game as well, including Arcturus Mengsk and Jim Raynor.

It looks like Blizzard has proved themselves once again as consistent and knowledgeable in pleasing the larger gaming audience. We think this game will do well and please the masses for years to come.

CONS!!Painful, but could be overlooked-No LAN, that is right all traffic goes through their servers-No cross-region play-No channel chat-StarCraft 2 split up to three games, time to milk the cowPainful, and a complete deal-breaker-Internet activationThat is right, even to play the single player missions you have to have an internet connection! If most of you people understood where the suits want to take the game industry you might stop taking whatever they are trying to shove down your throats. PAY TO PLAY, and all the big boys are doing everything they can to scratch their way to it. So, if YOU pay for any game that requires anything more than a CD check or a CD key YOU are hurting the gaming industry in a big way!
